Bring your class to Pialligo
Our school excursions are designed for children aged 4-12 years to learn about farm produce through a facilitated program run by our educators.
The programs have the ability to link with the Australian Curriculum and Early Years Learning Framework in areas of science, sustainability, literacy, numeracy and health education.
Your class will love to see the children connect with their food and to learn that vegetables aren’t just from the supermarket!
Programs are available between 10am and 2pm weekdays. After hours programs are considered on application.
Teachers and other accompanying adults can attend free of charge.
Bookings must be made at least two weeks prior to the planned visit. Booking requests can be made through our online enquiry form below.
Risk assessments have been conducted by our staff and will be sent to you with your booking confirmation. These can be requested in advance by contacting our Children’s Event Coordinator through our Enquiry Form.
Early Years Learning
Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and My Time, Our Place (MTOP).
Children will have the opportunity to connect with and contribute to their world as they actively engage in nature-based activities such as picking vegetables from our market garden.
Children will be confident and involved learners and take responsibility for their own health and wellbeing as they learn how to use the healthy produce they have harvested in their cooking.
Primary Age Students
Our programs have been designed to fit into the Australian Curriculum for primary school age children.
Students will develop practical skills and understanding related to health education, literacy, numeracy and science as they engage in our ‘paddock to plate’ philosophy by picking vegetables from our market garden, collecting fruit from the orchard and exploring the grounds of Pialligo Estate.
